Files are processed on your device
PDF Tools processes files locally on the user's device.
We do not upload user images, PDFs, or documents to any server for processing.
No personal information collection in the current version
In the current version, PDF Tools does not collect personal information from users.
The app does not currently collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Location
- Contacts
- Payment information
- Account information
- Messages
- Device advertising ID
- User files uploaded to a server
User-controlled sharing
PDF Tools does not sell user data.
PDF Tools does not share user files with third parties.
When the user chooses to share a PDF, the Android system share sheet may allow the user to send the file to another app. This action is controlled by the user, and the receiving app's privacy practices may apply.
Access used for selected app features
PDF Tools may request access to photos, images, or documents depending on the feature being used.
The app only uses selected files for the feature requested by the user.
No third-party service SDKs in the current version
The current version of PDF Tools does not use advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or payment services.
If third-party services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the services and how they handle data.
Local storage on the user's device
PDF Tools stores generated and imported PDF files locally on the user's device.
The app may also store local file history so users can view files in the My Files section.
This data stays on the user's device unless the user chooses to share a file using Android sharing options.
Files remain until the user removes them
PDF files remain on the user's device until the user deletes them.
Users can delete files from inside the app using the delete option. Users can also remove app-managed data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage from Android settings.
Because PDF Tools does not currently create user accounts or upload files to a server, we do not store account data or user files on a remote server.
No account deletion process is currently required
PDF Tools does not currently offer account creation or login.
Because no account is created, there is no account deletion process in the current version.
If account functionality is added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and an account deletion method will be provided.
Information about children
PDF Tools is not specifically directed to children.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and respond.
Reducing privacy risk through local processing
PDF Tools is designed to process files locally on the device to reduce privacy risk.
Users should still avoid sharing sensitive documents with other apps unless they trust those apps.
Future policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Last updated date.
If analytics, crash reporting, ads, subscription services, cloud backup, account functionality, or server upload is added later, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety form will be updated before the related app release.
