No. PDF Tools is an Android app and is published on Google Play. There is no iPhone, iPad, web, or desktop version at this time.

The PDF features work without an internet connection, because PDF Tools creates, merges, compresses, and manages files on your device instead of on a server. The in-app Help & Support form is the exception, since it needs a connection to send your message.

No. PDF Tools does not require account creation or login, and the current version has no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Online converters upload your document to a server to process it. PDF Tools does the work on your Android device, so no file leaves your phone, no account is needed, and the tools keep working when you have no connection.

Yes. Password Protect encrypts a PDF you select with AES-256, following the PDF standard security handler in ISO 32000-2. The encryption happens on your device, and the password is never stored, uploaded, or logged, so a forgotten password cannot be recovered.

Yes. Split PDF saves every page of the selected document as its own PDF, so a ten-page file becomes ten single-page files. The original is left untouched, and the source PDF needs at least two pages.

The app interface is translated into 20 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Arabic, Indonesian, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Vietnamese, Thai, Bengali, Polish, Malay, Filipino, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. This applies to the interface only. It does not change how PDFs are processed, and PDF Tools does not translate your documents.

The app follows your device language automatically, so there is no language setting inside PDF Tools. Any Portuguese device gets Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese resolves to Traditional Chinese for the Traditional script or the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau regions and to Simplified Chinese otherwise, and Tagalog resolves to Filipino. A device language the app does not cover falls back to English.

Yes. Arabic is supported and the interface is laid out right to left when the device is set to it.
